August 30, 2014


Jenny arrived Friday night and we had dinner at a restaurant in the neighborhood.

Saturday morning we took the train to Pedro's Cantina and watched the Ohio State - Navy football game with the Bay Area Buckeyes.

Took the #30 bus from La Jolla at 9:00 a.m., arrived back in San Diego about 10:00 a.m.

I rode this 5-minute tram ride - a nice aerial view of the zoo.

I spent only 1-1/2 hours at the zoo and could not see everything. 
I wanted to see the Panda Exhibit, but there was a 45-minute wait!

Caught the #7 bus back to Downtown San Diego and then the #30 bus to La Jolla.

Arrived in La Jolla about 5:00 p.m. and checked into the La Jolla Beach Travelodge

Arrived San Diego International Airport at 1:10 p.m

The San Diego Airport is close to downtown, so I walked from the airport to my hotel, about 45 minutes, to Wyndham San Diego Bayside.
